How-to: Enable / Disable, Manage Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and More on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Gestion Bluetooth



Activation / désactivation de Bluetooth:




  1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu"Bouton

  2. Robinet"Réglages"

  3. Aller à la »Connexions"Onglet

  4. Tapez le bouton associé"Bluetooth" in order to enable or disable this feature. Note: A light green switch means that Bluetooth is enabled




Pairing with a Bluetooth Device:




  1. From the home screen, press the "Menu"Bouton

  2. Robinet"Réglages" and go to the "Connexions"Onglet

  3. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled

  4. Robinet"Bluetooth" (the text itself)

  5. After the scanning process is complete, tap the device that you wish to pair with from the "Available devices" list. Note: if the device is missing, tap "Scan" to repeat the scanning process

  6. If prompted, type in the pairing code. By default, most Bluetooth gadgets have a passcode of "1234" or "0000"

  7. If necessary, accept the pairing on the other device




Gestion Wi-Fi



Activation / désactivation de Wi-Fi:




  1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu"Bouton

  2. Aller à"Réglages" and select the "Connexions"Onglet

  3. Tapez le bouton associé"Wi-Fi" to enable or disable the feature. Note: a light green switch means that Wi-Fi is enabled




Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:




  1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing the home screen

  2. Sélectionnez"Réglages"

  3. Exploiter les »Connexions"Onglet

  4. Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled

  5. Press "Wi-Fi" (the text itself, not the switch)

  6. If necessary, press "Scan"

  7. Select the Wi-Fi network that you wish to connect to

  8. If prompted, enter the network's password and tap "Connect"




Deleting a Wi-Fi Network Profile:




  1. Alors que sur l'écran d'accueil, appuyez sur la touche "Menu"Bouton

  2. Robinet"Réglages" and go to the "Connexions"Onglet

  3. Make sure that "Wi-Fi" is enabled, and tap "Wi-Fi"

  4. Tap and hold the network that you wish to delete

  5. Robinet"Forget Network"




GPS Management



Enabling / Disabling GPS:




  1. Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen

  2. Sélectionnez"Réglages"

  3. Aller à la »Connexions"Onglet

  4. Robinet"Location services"

  5. Mark or unmark the check box associated with "Use GPS satellites" in order to enable or disable the GPS




NFC Management



Enabling / Disabling NFC:




  1. From the home screen, press the "Menu"Bouton

  2. Aller à"Réglages" and access the "Connexions"Onglet

  3. Tapez le bouton associé"NFC" in order to enable or disable this feature. Note: a light green switch means that NFC is enabled




Reading an NFC Tag:




  1. Make sure that NFC is enabled

  2. Place the rear of your smartphone against another NFC-enabled device, or an NFC tag. Your handset should vibrate or notify you

  3. If necessary, follow any on-screen prompts to complete the action (such as receiving or saving a contact etc.)




Emergency Alerts Management



Activation / désactivation des alertes d'urgence:




  1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Apps" icon

  2. Robinet"Messaging"

  3. Press the "Menu" button and select "Réglages"

  4. Robinet"Emergency alerts"

  5. Mark or unmark the check boxes associated with: "Imminent extreme alert", "Imminent severe alert" and / or "Alertes AMBER". Note: presidential alerts are enabled by default and can't be disabled




System Manager (Carrier IQ) – T-Mobile Only:



System Manager is used by T-Mobile in order to help you with various problems regarding your smartphone. You can opt in or out of this system by following the steps below:




  1. From the home screen, press the "Menu"Bouton

  2. Sélectionnez"Réglages"

  3. Aller à la »General"Onglet

  4. Robinet"Back up and reset"

  5. Robinet"Collect diagnostics"

  6. Mark or unmark the check box associated with "Allow diagnostics" in order to opt in or out of System Manager
