LG L80: Import / Export, Add and Manage Contacts and Caller Groups

Managing Contacts



Adding Contacts:

1. Tap the "Contacts" shortcut located on the home screen


2. Tap the "+" sign to start creating a new contact


3. Select where to save the contact, such as "Phone", "Google" or "SIM "


4. Type in the contact's name, email address and any other details in the appropriate fields


5. Enter the contacts' phone number, and select a phone number type if necessary


6. Tap "Save"

Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon while on the home screen


2. Press "Menu" and tap "Speed dial"


3. Select the keypad number you wish to assign. NOTE: you can choose between 2 and 99


4. Tap the contact that you wish to associate with the dial pad number

Importing Contacts:

1. Launch the "Contacts" application


2. Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export"


3. Select to "Import from SIM card", "Import from SD card" or "Import from internal storage"


4. Select the location where you wish to save the contact


5. If necessary, follow any additional on-screen prompts to complete the operation

Exporting Contacts:

1. While on the home screen, tap "Contacts"


2. Press the "Menu" key and tap "Import / Export"


3. Select to "Export to SIM card", "Export to SD card" or "Export to internal storage"


4. Mark the contacts that you want to export, and follow any additional on-screen prompts if necessary

Deleting Contacts:

1. Open the "Contacts" application


2. Tap and hold the contact that you wish to remove


3. Tap "Delete contact"


4. Press "Yes" to confirm, and a "Deleted" message should pop-up on the screen briefly

Managing Groups



Creating a New Caller Group:

1. Tap "Contacts" while viewing a home screen


2. Access the "Groups" tab


3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "New group"


4. Enter the group's name in the appropriate field


5. Optionally, select a ringtone for the group


6. Add members to the group, and tap "Save"


7. The "Group saved" message should briefly appear

Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch the "Contacts" app


2. Go to the "Groups" tab


3. Select the group that you wish to edit and press the "Menu" key


4. Tap "Edit group" > "Add members"


5. Select the desired contact and tap "Add" > "Save"


6. You should see the "Group saved" message on-screen

Removing Contacts from a Caller Group:

1. From the "Contacts" app, access the "Groups" tab


2. Select the group that you wish to remove contacts from


3. Tap "Menu" > "Edit group"


4. Press the red "X" button associated with the contacts that you wish to remove from the group


5. Tap "Save" to confirm the changes. The "Group saved" message will briefly appear on the screen
