Moto G LTE: Import / Export, Add and Manage Contacts and Caller Groups

Managing Contacts



Adding a Contact:

1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen


2. Launch the "People" application


3. Tap the "Add contact" button (showing a "+" next to a human figure)


4. Enter the contact's name in the appropriate field


5. Enter the contact's phone number


6. If necessary, select the proper type of phone number


7. Complete the contact's information as you see fit


8. Tap "Done" to save the contact

Speed Dialing through the Direct Dial Widget:

1. Press and hold an empty space on the home screen


2. Select "Widgets"


3. Locate the "Direct Dial" widget


4. Tap and hold the widget and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen


5. Select the desired contacts from the "People app" or "Contacts" list


6. Repeat the process until you have assigned the desired contacts

NOTE: you can also create Direct Dial shortcut folders. Simply drag and drop a new Direct Dial shortcut on top of an existing one



Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:

1. Launch the apps drawer


2. Open the "People" app


3. Tap "Menu" > "Import / Export"


4. Select "Import from storage" or "Export from storage"


5. Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the operation and tap "OK"

Importing Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. Open the "People" app


2. Tap "Menu" and select "Import / Export"


3. Tap "Import from SIM card" or "Export to SIM card"


4. Follow any additional self-explanatory steps and tap "OK" to complete the operation

Deleting a Contact:

1. Launch the apps drawer and open the "People" app


2. Select the contact that you wish to delete


3. Press the "Menu" icon and tap "Delete"


4. Tap "OK" to confirm

Managing Caller Groups



Creating a Caller Group:

1. Launch the "People" app


2. Go to the "Groups" tab


3. Tap the desired group


4. Press "Menu" > "Edit"


5. In the "Type person's name" field, enter the contact's name


6. Repeat the previous step if you wish to add more contacts to the group


7. Tap "Done"
