HTC Desire 210: Personalize Your Smartphone with Ringtones, Wallpapers and More

Changing the Wallpaper:




  1. Swipe the "Status" bar down with two fingers

  2. Tap "Personalize" > "Wallpaper"

  3. Choose between "HTC wallpapers", "Live wallpapers", "Gallery" or "Computer photos"

  4. Select the desired image. If necessary, resize / crop it

  5. Tap "Apply" or "Done"




Changing the Ringtone, Notification and Alarm Sounds:




  1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu

  2. Tap "Personalize"

  3. Under "Sound", select to change the alarm, ringtone or notification sound

  4. Choose the desired sound / ringtone and tap "Apply"




Adding Home Screens:




  1. While viewing the home screen, perform a "pinch" gesture with two fingers

  2. Tap "+Add panel" near the upper area of the screen

  3. To set a home screen panel as the primary one, tap "Set as home"

  4. To remove a home screen panel, tap and hold it, then drag it above the "Remove" area




Adding Shortcuts and Widgets to the Home Screen:




  1. Do a pinch gesture with two fingers while on the home screen

  2. Tap the button shaped like a "Triangle"

  3. Tap "Widgets"

  4. Browse through the list of widgets. To add one, tap and hold it, then drag it on top of the desired home screen

  5. To add a shortcut, tap the "Triangle" button and select "Shortcuts" or "Apps"

  6. Locate the desired app and then drag it on top of the desired home screen thumbnail




Resizing a Widget and Changing its Settings:




  1. Locate the desired widget on the home screen

  2. Tap and hold the widget, and drag it on top of the "Settings" icon (NOTE: some widgets don't have a settings menu)

  3. Customize the widget's settings as desired

  4. To resize a widget, tap and hold, then release it. A blue border should appear if the widget is resizable

  5. Drag the blue borders to resize the widget




Customizing the Launch Bar:



The launch bar can be customized to contain any shortcut you want. With the exception of the "All apps" icon, all shortcuts in the launch bar can be replaced




  1. Tap and hold the icon you wish to remove from the launch bar

  2. Drag the shortcut on top of the "Trash can" icon, or move it to a home screen

  3. Tap "Apps"

  4. Browse for the desired app, and drag it to the empty space in the launch bar

  5. Release the app and it will lock in place
