Note: in order to transfer contacts using the Bump app, you'll need an active Internet connection on both the iPhone and the One Touch Evolve.
Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone
- Launch iTunes on your computer. (If necessary, download it from the Apple website and install it)
- Connect your iPhone to your computer using the proprietary USB cable
- Once your iPhone is connected, it will appear in iTunes. Click on it to see the handset's summary page
- Go to the "Info" tab
- Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
- Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
- If this is the first time performing these steps, enter your Google account's log-in credentials. Otherwise, click "Configure" and select a previously added Google account
- Click "Apply" and let iTunes sync the iPhone contacts to your Google account
- On your Alcatel One Touch Evolve, register the same Google account used in iTunes, if you haven't done so already. To do so, access the "Settings" menu and tap "Accounts"
- Allow your Google account to sync the contacts to your One Touch Evolve
Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone
- On your computer, access the www.icloud.com webpage and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click "Contacts" to access the list of contacts
- Select the contact(s) that you want to transfer
- Click the icon depicting a cog wheel (it's located at the lower-left side)
- Click "Export vCard"
- After your computer downloads the VCF file containing the exported contact(s), import the VCF file to "Google Contacts"
- Alternatively, connect your Alcatel One Touch Evolve to your computer, and copy the VCF file to your phone's "/sdcard" folder. Afterwards, access the "People" app, go to the "Contacts" tab, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "SD Card" > "Next" > "Phone" > Select the contacts that you wish to copy > "Export contacts" > "OK"
Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone
- On your iPhone, download and install the "My Contacts Backup" application from the App Store
- Launch the app and tap "Backup"
- After the backup is done, tap "Email" to attach the VCF file
- Send an email with the VCF attached to it, to your own Gmail address
- On your Alcatel One Touch Evolve, open the email containing the VCF file and download it to import the contacts
Using the "Bump" Application to Transfer Contacts from an iPhone
Note: in order to transfer contacts using the Bump app, you'll need an active Internet connection on both the iPhone and the One Touch Evolve.
- On your iPhone, access the App Store and Install the "Bump" app
- On your One Touch Evolve, access the Play Store and search for > install "Bump"
- Open the "Bump" app on both smartphones and allow permissions
- On your iPhone, go to the "Contacts" section
- Select the contacts that you wish to transfer from the list
- When the label "Bump now!" appears, you can lightly bump the two smartphones to begin the transfer process
- Tap "Connect"
- The previously selected contacts should now be sent to your Evolve
