Sync Contacts / Gmail / Calendars from a Nokia Lumia 930 to an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus

Transferring your data from the Nokia Lumia 930 to the new iPhone can be achieved easily by syncing an account like Google or Exchange ActiveSync. The method below requires a Gmail account.



Setting a Google Account on the Nokia Lumia 930:

1. Go to the App list


2. Tap "Settings" > "Email + accounts"


3. Tap "Add an account"


4. Select "Google"


5. Type in your email address and password


6. Tap "Sign in" > "Accept"


7. Your Gmail contacts, calendars and emails should now be synced with your Lumia device

NOTE: To add a Google Apps account, access the phone's "Settings" menu and then tap "Email + accounts" > "Add an account" > "Advanced setup"; provide your login credentials, tap "Next" and make sure to tap "Exchange ActiveSync"



Syncing Your Google Account with an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus:

1. Tap "Settings" while on the iPhone's home screen


2. Scroll to and tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"


3. Swipe to "Accounts" and then tap "Add account" > "Other"


4. Under "Contacts", tap "Add CardDAV Account" to sync your Google contacts


5. Enter "google.com" in the "Server" field


6. Type in your Google account password and username in the appropriate fields


7. Enter the account's name in the "Description" box and tap "Next"


8. To sync your Calendar, tap "Add account" again and tap "Other"


9. Under "Calendars", tap "Add CalDAV Account"


10. In the "Server" field enter "google.com"


11. Type in your Gmail account username and password and tap "Next"


12. Tap the "On / Off" switches to enable or disable syncing for "Calendars" and "Reminders"


13. Tap "Save"
