How-to: Back Up and Restore Apps, Contacts and Media Files on the Motorola Moto X

Backing Up Data



Backing Up Apps:

1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu« clé


2. Robinet"Réglages"


3. Robinet"Sauvegarde et reset"


4. Aller à la »Comptes" tab. (Note: you will need to be logged in to a Google account in order to back up your applications. If necessary, you can tap "Backup account" > "Add account" and then follow the on-screen instructions).


5. If necessary, mark the "Backup my data" and "Backup account" checkboxes

Backing up Contacts:

1. While viewing the home screen, tap the "Contacts" icon


2. Press the "Menu« clé


3. Robinet"Merge contacts" and select "Merge with Google"


4. If prompted, log in to your Google account

Backing Up Media Files:

1. While viewing any home screen, tap the "Menu" button


2. Sélectionnez"Google+"


3. Tap the account that you wish to back up to


4. Press "Next" and select either "Over Wi-Fi or mobile network" or "Over Wi-Fi only"

Restoring Data



Restoring Apps:

1. Log in to your Google account, if necessary


2. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu« clé


3. Robinet"Réglages"


4. Aller à la »Comptes" tab


5. Robinet"Google" and press "Sync all"


6. Press the "Back" key then tap "Backup and reset


7. Mark / unmark the check boxes associated with "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"

Restoring Contacts:

1. From the home screen, tap the "Menu« clé


2. Press "Réglages"


3. Exploiter les »Comptes" tab and select "Google"


4. Tap the email address at the top of the screen


5. Check the "Sync contacts" check box, if necessary


6. Robinet"Sync now"

Restoring Media Files:

1. While viewing any of the home screens, tap the "Menu" button


2. Sélectionnez"Google+"


3. Select the account that you wish to restore


4. Press "Next" and then tap "Also back up existing photos & videos"
