How-to: Galaxy S4 on Straight Talk

Fortunately you can activate a Galaxy S4 on Straight Talk, there are just a couple things you have to keep in mind first.

1. You will not get 4g data


2. You'll need a microSIM for Straight Talk (which you can purchase new here) or a regular size SIM cut to size - see here for a sim card cutter


3. You have to purchase your S4 outright - like the one available here: Samsung Galaxy S4, Black (AT&T) | Amazon.com


4. The original default APN must be changed to the following to get MMS and data: http://cellphoneforums.net/straight-...id-phones.html (reboot the phone after making these edits)


5. The phone has to be unlocked - an unlocking vendor will be able to help you with this if your phone isn't already unlocked. You will not have to get the phone unlocked if you get a Straight Talk AT&T sim and have a Galaxy S4 for AT&T.
