How-to: Add and Manage Email Accounts and Email Messages on the iPhone 5C

Account Management



Adding an Email Account Manually:

1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Settings"


2. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" > "Add Account…"


3. Select between "Microsoft Exchange", "Mobileme", "Google Mail", "Yahoo!", "AOL" or "Other" (POP3 and IMAP)


4. Type in the email address and password, and enter any additional information that may be requested


5. Tap "Next"


6. If desired, choose to sync other options such as Calendars and / or Contacts


7. Tap "Save"

Deleting an Email Account:

1. While on the home screen, tap "Settings"


2. Scroll to and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"


3. Under "Accounts", select the email account that you wish to delete


4. Tap "Delete Account" > "Delete from my iPhone"

Notification Management



Enabling / Disabling Email Notifications:

1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Settings"


2. Tap "Sound" > "New Mail"


3. Change the "Vibration" and "Alert Tones" options

Managing Email Messages



Attaching a File and Sending an Email:

1. While on the home screen, tap "Photos"


2. Select the photo that you wish to email, then tap the "arrow" icon located in the lower left corner of the screen


3. Tap "Mail"


4. Type in the recipient's email address


5. Enter the message in the appropriate field, and tap "Send" when ready

Deleting Emails:

1. Tap the "Mail" icon while viewing the home screen


2. Open the account that you wish to use, if necessary


3. Select the message that you wish to delete


4. Tap the "Trash can" icon
