In case you have entered your SIM card PIN incorrectly for several times in a row, your device will block you from attempting again. To unblock the PIN, you'll need to enter the PUK code. To do so:

Changing the Device Lock Option:
- While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Lock screen settings"
- Tap "Select screen lock" and choose one of the following lock methods:
- Swipe:
- Tap "Screen swipe effect"
- Select the desired swipe effect
- Face Unlock:
- Review the instructions and tap "Set it up"
- Tap "Continue"
- Capture your face with the front-facing camera
- Tap "Continue"
- Select a backup unlock method
- Pattern:
- Press "Next"
- Draw the desired unlock pattern
- Tap "Continue" and draw the pattern again, then tap "Confirm"
- Press "Next"
- Enter the desired "backup PIN" code and tap "Continue"
- Enter backup PIN twice, then tap "OK"
- PIN:
- Type in a PIN number
- Tap "Continue" and enter the PIN number again for confirmation
- Tap "OK"
- Password:
- Enter a password and tap "Continue"
- Reenter the password for confirmation
- Tap "OK"
- Swipe:
Disabling Device Lock:
- From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button
- Select "Lock screen settings"
- Tap "Select screen lock"
- Enter your PIN or Password
- Select "None"

- "SIM card locked. Emergency calls only. Please contact Customer Care"
In case you have entered your SIM card PIN incorrectly for several times in a row, your device will block you from attempting again. To unblock the PIN, you'll need to enter the PUK code. To do so:
- Contact your carrier's customer support for your PUK code
- Once the message "SIM card is PUK-Locked. Please contact Customer Care" appears on the screen, tap "Emergency Call"
- Type in the following string: "**05*PUK*New PIN*New PIN#" (Without the quotes, and where "PUK" is the PUK code obtained by calling customer support, and where "New PIN" is your SIM card's new PIN)
- Tap "OK" and follow any additional on-screen prompts
SIM PIN Management
Changing the SIM PIN:
- While viewing any of the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Select "System settings"
- Go to the "General" tab
- Scroll down to "Personal" and then tap "Security"
- Tap "Set up SIM card lock"
- If necessary, mark the "Lock SIM card" check box, then enter your current SIM PIN and tap "OK"
- Tap "Change SIM PIN"
- Type in the current SIM PIN. (Note: by default, the SIM PIN is usually "1234" or "0000")
- Tap "OK"
- Type in the new SIM PIN and press "OK"
- Re-enter the new SIM PIN and tap "OK" again
Enabling / Disabling the SIM PIN:
- From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button
- Select "System settings"
- Tap "Security" under "Personal"
- Tap "Set up SIM card lock"
- Check or uncheck the "Lock SIM card" check box
- Enter the "SIM PIN" and then press "OK"
