Transfer Contacts from an iPhone to the Huawei Valiant Using a Computer or Applications

Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:



iTunes is a great tool that gives users the possibility to sync iPhone contacts with various platforms, including Google accounts. All the contacts will have their images, address, emails and other information synced. To use this method, you need a computer with iTunes installed.




  1. Open iTunes on your PC

  2. Use the USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer

  3. In iTunes, click on your iPhone to view its summary page

  4. Access the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box

  5. From the drop-down list, select "Google Contacts"

  6. Enter your Google account's username and password. Otherwise, if you've added a Google account priori to following these steps, you can click "Configure" and choose a previously added Google account

  7. Click "Apply" and iTunes will start syncing your iPhone contacts with your account

  8. On the Huawei Valiant, register the same account and allow it to sync contacts with your device. NOTE: to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"




Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:



The iCloud back up service also gives users the option to export contacts in the form of a vCard file. If you've used iCloud before on your iPhone, then the contacts should be backed un on your iCloud account. This method requires access to a computer:




  1. Open the Internet browser on your PC and visit https://www.icloud.com/

  2. Log in with your iCloud account

  3. Access the "Contacts" list

  4. Select the contacts that you want to export to the Huawei smartphone

  5. Click the icon depicted as a cog wheel (bottom left) and select "Export vCard"

  6. A VCF file will now be downloaded on your PC. Import it to Google Contacts, or:

  7. Connect your Valiant to your computer via USB and copy the vCard file to your phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, open the people app, go to the contacts list, tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts" > "Import from storage" and select the desired VCF file.




Using the "Bump" Application:



"Bump" is a clever application that can transfer contacts from one device to the other via cloud. There's no need for a computer, Bluetooth or NFC. All you need is an active Internet connection on both smartphones.




  1. On your iPhone, install Bump from the App Store

  2. Download the app on the Huawei Valiant from the Play Store

  3. Open the application on both smartphones and allow permissions

  4. On your iPhone, swipe to the contacts section

  5. In the list of contacts, choose the ones that you want to share

  6. When the "Bump now!" label appears in the top-right area of the screen, lightly bump the two devices simultaneously

  7. A "Connect" button will now appear on the screen of both smartphones

  8. Tap "Connect" and your iPhone contacts will be transferred over to the Huawei via cloud




Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application:



My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that allows you to transfer contacts in the form of a VCF file, via email. Once again, this method does not require access to a computer.




  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone

  2. Open the app and tap "Backup". This will create a VCF file containing your iPhone contacts

  3. Tap "Email" in order to attach the VCF file to an email

  4. Send the email to your own Gmail address

  5. Switch over to the Valiant, and open the email that contains the VCF attachment

  6. Download the file and import its contents through the contacts application
