Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect your Galaxy Star Pro to your PC
- On the smartphone, if necessary swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
- On the computer, an AutoPlay window should appear. Click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a new Windows Explorer window, and navigate to where the desired audio files are stored on your computer
- Copy the desired files, and paste them on your phone's internal storage
- Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC by clicking the storage device icon in the system tray
Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: Follow the first 2 steps only if you don't have Samsung Kies installed on your computer
- Launch the internet browser on your computer and visit SAMSUNG KIES
- Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Kies
- Once done, use the USB cable to connect your phone to the computer
- If necessary, drag the "Status" bar down on the smartphone, and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device"
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- In Kies, click the folder icon associated with "Internal memory" or "External memory"
- Navigate to where you wish to transfer the audio files on your phone
- Open a new window on your Mac, and locate the files stored on the computer's HDD
- Drag and drop the desired files in Kies
- Once the transfer is complete, you can safely disconnect your smartphone
Managing the Ringtone and Notification List
Adding Audio Files to Use as Ringtones:
- Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Access the "My device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones" > "Add"
- Select either "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
- Tap "Always" or "Just once"
- Select the desired audio file and tap "OK"
Adding Audio Files to the Notification List:
- From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
- Tap "My files" > "All files"
- Navigate to where the desired audio files are located on your phone's memory
- Tap and hold a file and select "Copy"
- Tap "Device storage" and open the "Notifications" folder
- Tap "Paste here"

- Tap the "Menu" key while on the home screen
- Go to "Settings" and access the "My device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
- Select the desired ringtone
- Press "OK" to set it

- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Select the desired contact
- Tap the "Edit" icon depicting a pencil
- Tap "Ringtone"
- Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"
- Tap "Save"

- Tap "Settings"
- Access the "My device" tab
- Tap "Sound" > "Notifications"
- Select the desired audio file and tap "OK"
