Restoring Applications:
- Log in to your Google account, if needed
- From the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Tap "Settings" and go to the "Accounts" tab
- Tap "Google" > "Sync all"
- Press the "Back" button
- Tap "Backup and reset"
- Mark / unmark the check boxes associated with "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"
Contact Restore
Restoring Contacts from a Google or Samsung Account:
- Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and go to "Accounts"
- Select "Google" or "Samsung", depending on the type of account you've used to create your backup
- Tap the "email address" located at the top of the screen
- Mark the "Sync contacts" check box. If the box is already checked, tap "Sync now"
Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:
- From the home screen, tap the "Contacts" icon
- Access the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" key and select "Import / Export"
- Tap "Import from SD card" and select an account
- Tap "Import vCard file" > "OK"
- Select the backup VCF file, and tap "OK" to load it
Media File Restore
Restoring Media Files from the SD Card:
- Tap the "Apps" icon from the home screen
- Tap "My files" > "All files" > "SD card"
- Navigate to where the files are backed up on your SD card
- Tap and hold the desired file, and tap "Move"
- The device will show the available memory locations. To move the files in a different location, tap "Create new" or the folder name
- Tap "Move here"
Restoring Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Use the USB cable to connect your Galaxy Star Pro to your computer
- On the smartphone, swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device" check box
- In the AutoPlay window on your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the media files are backed up on your computer
- Copy the desired files from your PC, and paste them on your phone's storage. REMARQUE: the internal memory is identified by the "Phone" icon, whereas the "Card" icon depicts the external memory
- Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC
Restoring Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Establish a connection between your computer and smartphone
- Swipe the "Status" bar down on your smartphone and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device" check box
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Inside Kies, access the "Back up / restore" tab
- Click the "Restore" tab
- Mark the check box(es) associated with "Photo", "Music" and / or any other types of files that you need to back up. Alternatively, click "Select all items"
- Click "Restore" and follow any additional steps if necessary
- Once the transfer is done, safely disconnect your smartphone
