How-to: Message on the HTC Desire 500 – Sending, Replying, Forwarding, Managing Attachments and More

Envoi d'un message texte (SMS):

1. Ouvrir les »Messages"app


2. Exploiter les »+« icône


3. Dans la »Pour" field, enter the contact's name or mobile phone number


4. Exploiter les »Ad text" box and write your message


5. Exploiter les »Send" button to send the message, or tap the "Back" key on your device to save the message as a draft

Sending a Multimedia Message (MMS):

1. Dans la »Messages" application, tap the "+" icon to create a new message


2. Enter the recipient's name / phone number or email address in the "Pour" field


3. To add a subject line, tap the "menu" button and press "Add subject"


4. Exploiter les »Add text" field and enter your message


5. To attach a file, tap the "Attach" button depicted as a paperclip and select the file type


6. Select or browse and select the item that you wish to attach. Note: to remove, replace or view the attachment, tap the icon depicting three horizontal dots


7. When ready, press the "Send" button or tap "Back" to save the message as a draft

To Create a Slideshow:

1. After you've added the photos, videos and the audio files in the MMS, tap the "Attach" button and tap "Slide"


2. Select where you wish to insert the next slide


3. After adding a slide, you can:
   
   
   
   
   • Robinet"Attach" and select a photo or video
   
   
   • Robinet"Attach" and select "Audio" to add music or a voice recording-
   
   
   • Robinet"Add text"
   
   
   • Tap the icon depicting three horizontal dots to access options for replacing, viewing or removing an attachment
   
   
   
   


4. Robinet"Menu" > "Preview"


5. Once finished, tap "Send" to send the slideshow, or tap "Back" to save it as a draft

Sending a Group Message:

1. Ouvrir les »Messages"app


2. Exploiter les »+« icône


3. Press the "Contacts" icon and select multiple recipients


4. To send the message as a group SMS, enable the "Envoyer des messages individuels" option. Disabling it will send the option as a group MMS


5. Exploiter les »Add text" box and enter the message


6. Press "Send" when ready

Replying to a Message:

1. Dans la »Messages" screen, tap the desired contact or phone number to open the message thread


2. Enter your message in the "Add text" box and tap "Send"

Forwarding a Message:

1. Access the "Messages"app


2. Dans la »Messages" screen, tap a contact to view the conversation thread


3. Select a message and press "Forward"


4. Dans la »Pour" field, enter the recipient(s) to which you wish to forward the message


5. Robinet"Send" when ready

Moving Messages in the Secure Box:



You can move your messages in a secure box, which can only be accessed by entering a password. To do so:

1. On the messages screen, select a conversation thread


2. Exploiter les »menu" button and select "Move to secure box"


3. Select the messages that you wish to move, then tap "Move"


4. To read the messages located in the secure box, tap the icon depicting a triangle pointing downwards while on the "Messages" screen, then tap "Secure". If this is the first time using this feature, you will need to set a password


5. To remove a message from the secure box, press and hold the contact and tap "Move to general box"

Copying a Text Message to Your SIM Card:

1. Access the "Messages"app


2. Dans la »Messages" screen, select the contact containing the desired message thread


3. Tap a message, and then select "Copy to SIM "
