Setting Up Wi-Fi Calling

Registering Your 911 Address:

Before being able to use Wi-Fi Calling, you'll need to register your 911 address through your T-Mobile account, otherwise you might see a "REG09" error. To register your 911 address:

  1. Log in you "My T-Mobile"

  2. At the top navigation bar, click "Your profile"

  3. Click "Edit" under "Customer information"

  4. Enter your home address and then click "Save changes". Note: it may take up to one hour for the update to complete

  • Via "My T-Mobile Beta":

  1. Log in to "My T-Mobile"

  2. Click "Profile" on the top navigation bar

  3. Click "edit" under "E911 Address"

  4. Enter your address and then click "Save"

  5. Once a confirmation pop-up appears, click "OK"

Setting up Your Phone to Use Wi-Fi or Mobile Networks:

  1. From any of the home screens, press the "Menu" button

  2. Tap "Settings"

  3. Go to the "Connections" tab

  4. Tap "More networks"

  5. Tap "Wi-Fi Calling" > "Connection Preferences"

  6. Select one of the following options:

    • Wi-Fi Preferred: with this option enabled, all calls will be made over a Wi-Fi network. If no Wi-Fi network is available, calls will connect through the cellular network.

    • Cellular Network Preferred: with this option selected, all calls will be made over the cellular network. If the cellular network is not available, calls will be made through an available Wi-Fi network.

    • Never use Cellular Network: if this option is selected, all calls will be made over Wi-Fi. If no Wi-Fi network is available, then phone calls will not connect.
