Is it possible that parents are monitoring my iPad?

Is it possible that parents are monitoring my iPad? I have an iPad 2. My parents are both psychologist and watch every little thing that I do. My stepdad said that with his computer, since I am on our network, he can see what I am doing on my iPad. Is it true?
