Kyocera Hydro Vibe: Backing Up App Data, Contacts and Media Files

NOTE: When using the backup methods described above, the backed up data will be automatically restored the next time you log in with your Google account



Backing Up Applications:

1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Apps"


2. Tap "Settings"


3. Swipe to "User and Backup" and tap "Backup and reset"


4. In order to back up your apps, you need to be logged in to a Google account. Tap "Backup account", tap "Add account" and follow the on-screen prompts to create or sign in with a Google account


5. Mark the "Back up my data" check box


6. Mark the "Automatic restore" check box

Backing Up Contacts:

1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen


2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Accounts"


3. Select the account to sync


4. Mark the "Contacts" check box


5. Tap "Menu" and press "Sync now"

Backing Up Media Files:

1. Open the apps drawer


2. Tap "Photos"


3. Press "Menu" and go to "Settings"


4. Tap "Auto Backup" and ensure that the "Auto Backup" switch is set to "ON"


5. You need to be signed in with a Google account in order to back up your media files. If necessary, tap "Backup account" > "Add account" and follow the on-screen instructions to log in or create an account


6. Change the settings for "Backup storage" and "Backup settings" as you see fit
