How-to: Message on the T-Mobile 768 – Send SMS, MMS and More

Sending a Group Message (SMS):

• Create a Custom Group:

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Cliquez sur et sélectionnez »Messagerie"


3. If necessary, go to the "SMS / MMS " tab


4. Press "New Message"


5. Press the "Center select" key to add a contact. Note: You can manually type in phone numbers to add them to the group. You can separate phone numbers with commas (,)


6. Select "Contacts"


7. Select the desired contact


8. Repeat steps 5-to-7 if necessary


9. When ready, scroll down and enter your message, then go to "Les options" and select "Send"

• Sending to an Already Created Group:

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Cliquez sur et sélectionnez »Messagerie"


3. If necessary, go to the "SMS / MMS " tab


4. Select "New Message" and press the "Center select" key in order to add a contact


5. Select "Groups"


6. Select the group that you wish to send the message to


7. Select "Les options" and then press "Send"

Taking a Picture / Recording a Video and Sending It in a New Message (MMS):

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Cliquez sur et sélectionnez »Messagerie"


3. Go to the "SMS / MMS " tab


4. Select "New Message"


5. Press the "Center select" key in order to select a contact. Optionally, you can type in the recipient's phone number


6. Press "Les options"


7. Select "Add Pictures"


8. Press "Take Pictures"


9. Frame your subject and press the "Camera" icon to capture


10. Enter a message in the appropriate field.


11. When finished, press "Send"

Attaching an Existing Picture / Video to a New Message (MMS):

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Scroll to and then select "Messagerie"


3. Go to the "SMS / MMS " tab if necessary


4. Select "New Message"


5. Press the "Center select" button in order to select a contact, or optionally, type in the recipient's phone number


6. Enter the desired message


7. Press "Les options" and then select "Add Pictures"


8. Select "Insert Pictures"


9. Scroll to and then select the desired folder. Search for the desired image in the folder


10. Scroll down and enter a message if you desire


11. Press the "Send" icon

Deleting Messages or Picture Messages (SMS / MMS):

1. While viewing a home screen, press "Menu"


2. Select "Messagerie"


3. If necessary, select the "SMS / MMS " tab


4. Select one of the following options:
   
   
   
   
   
   
   • To delete an entire conversation thread:
     
     
     
     
     
     
     1. Scroll to the conversation that you wish to delete, but don't select it
     
     
     2. Select "Les options", then select "Delete" and press "Yes" to confirm
     
     
     
     
     
   
   
   • Deleting a Single Message (SMS or MMS):
     
     
     
     
     
     
     1. Select the desired conversation thread
     
     
     2. Scroll to the text / picture message that you wish to delete
     
     
     3. Select "Les options", and then press "Delete" and confirm by selecting "Yes"
     
     
     
     
   
   
   
   

Saving Pictures Received in Multimedia Messages (MMS):

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Select "Messagerie"


3. If necessary, go to the "SMS / MMS " tab


4. Scroll to and select the desired conversation thread.


5. Select the desired image


6. Press "Les options" and then select "Save Objects" > "Picture"


7. Select "Phone" or "Carte SD"


8. Press "OK" and then select "Les options" > "Done"
