How-to: Manage Contacts on the T-Mobile 768 – Add, Import/Export, Delete, Manage Groups

Adding New Contacts:

1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"


2. Scroll to and then select "Contacts"


3. Select one of the following options:
   
   
   
   
   
   
   • Save to SIM card - scroll to the "SIM " tab
   
   
   • Save to Phone memory – Scroll to the "Phone" tab
   
   
   
   
   


4. press "Add New Contact"


5. Type in the contact's name


6. Enter additional information as you see fit


7. When ready, select "Les options" and then "Save"


8. Confirm by pressing "Yes"

Assigning a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. While viewing the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Scroll to and select "Settings"


3. Select "Phone Settings" > "Keypad"


4. Press "Numeric Keys"


5. Scroll to and then select an unassigned key "Empty"


6. Press "Edit"


7. Scroll to and select "Contacts", then select the contact that you wish to assign to the speed dial key


8. Press "Yes" to save

Note: Speed dial numbers cannot be assigned to the "1" key, as this one is permanently assigned to Voicemail.



Importing / Exporting Contacts from SD Card:

• From Phone to SD Card:

1. Press "Menu" on the home screen


2. Select "Contacts"


3. Scroll to and select the contact that you wish to move


4. Press "Les options"


5. Select "Copy" > "To-File" > "SD Card" > "Select"


6. Press "Les options" and then select "Done"

• From SD to Phone:

1. While viewing the home screen, select "Menu"


2. Scroll to and select "Media"


3. Select "Files"


4. Press "SD card"


5. Scroll to the desired contact (a .vcf file) but don't select it


6. Select "Les options" > "Set As" > "Contact"


7. Press "Save to Phone" and then select "Save"

Importing / Exporting Contacts From SIM Card:

• From Phone to SIM Card:

1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"


2. Scroll to and then select "Contacts"


3. Select "Les options" and then press "Management"


4. Select "Copy several" and then press "Copy to SIM "


5. Press "Select all" or individually select the contacts that you wish to copy


6. Select "Les options" and then "Copy Selected". Press "Yes" to confirm

• From SIM Card to Phone:

1. While on the home screen, select "Menu"


2. Select "Contacts"


3. Press "Les options" and then select "Management"


4. Select "Copy several" > "Copy to phone"


5. Press "Select all" or individually select the contacts that you wish to copy by marking the checkboxes associated with them


6. Press "Les options" and then "Copy Selected"


7. Select "Yes" to confirm

Deleting Contacts:

1. While on the home screen, press "Menu"


2. Scroll to and select "Contacts"


3. Highlight the desired contact and then press "Les options"


4. Select "Delete" and press "Yes" to confirm

Managing Groups



Creating a Caller Group:

1. Press "Menu" while viewing the home screen


2. Go to and select "Contacts"


3. Press "Les options"


4. Scroll to and select "Groups"


5. Select "Add New Group"


6. Type in the name for the group


7. Press "Les options" > "Save" and then press "Yes" to confirm

Adding Contacts to a Caller Group:

1. While viewing a home screen, select "Menu"


2. Scroll to and then select "Contacts"


3. Press "Les options"


4. Scroll to and then select "Groups"


5. Select the desired group


6. Press "Les options" > "Add"


7. Mark the checkboxes associated with the contacts that you wish to add to the caller group


8. Press "Done" when finished, and then confirm by selecting "Yes"
