How-to: Change the Lock Screen; Set Lock Code on the Nokia Lumia 1020

Changing the Lock Screen:

1. From the Start screen, swipe left


2. Navigate to and tap "Settings"


3. Select "lock screen"


4. Tap the "Background" field


5. Select the desired option, such as "photo"


6. Select "background" and tap the desired image


7. Crop the image for the background

Setting a Lock Code:

1. While viewing the Start screen, swipe left


2. Scroll to and then tap "Settings"


3. Go to "lock screen"


4. Tap the "Password" slider to enable this feature


5. Type in the desired password


6. Re-enter the password in the "Confirm" field


7. Press "Done"


8. To change the password, tap "change password"


9. Tap the "Current password" field and type in the current password


10. Touch the "New password" field and type in the new password


11. Re-enter the new password in the "confirm password" field


12. Tap "Done"

Note: To lock the device, press the "Screen Lock / Power" button. To unlock the device, double tap the display and scroll the screen up
