Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition to your computer via USB
- Swipe the "Notification" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
- Mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
- From the AutoPlay window on the PC, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Go to where you plan on transferring the files on your smartphone
- Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to the audio files stored on your PC
- Transfer the desired files from the PC to the smartphone
- Once the process is done, safely disconnect your smartphone by first clicking the "removable storage" icon from the system tray
Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: Skip the first 2 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac
- Open the Internet browser on your Mac and visit Kies
- Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen steps to install Kies on the Mac
- Next, connect the Galaxy S4 VE to the Mac via USB
- On the smartphone's screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
- Tap "Connected as a media device" and mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
- Launch Kies and click the "Folder" icon associated with "Internal memory" or "External memory"
- Navigate to where you wish to transfer the audio files on your smartphone
- Locate the desired audio files stored on the Mac
- Drag the audio files from the Mac and drop them on the smartphone
- Once the process is done, safely disconnect your SGS4 VE from the Mac
Managing the Notification and Ringtone List
Adding Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
- Press "Menu" while viewing the home screen
- Tap "Settings" > "Sound"
- Tap "Ringtones" and then press "Add"
- Select to add ringtones using the "Sound picker" or tap "Choose music track"
- Tap "Just once" or "Always"
- Press "OK" to confirm
Adding Audio Files in the Notification List:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch "My Files"
- Tap "All files" and locate the desired audio files
- Tap and hold a file you wish to use for notifications and tap "Copy"
- Tap "Device storage" and open the "Notifications" folder
- Lastly, tap "Paste here"

- From the home screen, tap "menu"
- Tap "Settings" > "Sound" > "Ringtone"
- Choose the ringtone you wish to set
- Tap "OK"

- Go to the "Tracks" tab and select a song
- Tap "menu" > "Set as"
- Press the "Auto recommendations" button
- Tap "phone ringtone", "Caller ringtone" or "Alarm ringtone" under "Set As"
- Tap "Done"
Changing the Notification Sound:
- Access the phone's "Settings" menu
- Tap "Sound" and go to "Notifications"
- Select the desired notification and press "OK" to confirm
