From Your Smartphone:
Backing Up Media Files from a Windows Computer:
Restoring Applications:
- From the home screen tap "Apps"
- Go to "Settings"
- Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
- Tap "Backup account" and select the account on which the backup has been created
- If necessary, tap "Add account" and follow the on-screen prompts to add the backup account
- Mark the "Automatic restore" check box
Restoring Contacts:
- Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
- Scroll to and tap "Backup & restore"
- Tap "Restore data now"
- Mark the check boxes associated with "Contacts"
- Tap "Continue"
- After the process is done, tap "Finish"
Restoring Media Files
From Your Smartphone:
- While viewing a home screen, tap "Apps"
- Find and tap "File Commander"
- Tap "SD Card"
- Navigate to the files you want to transfer
- Mark the check boxes associated with the files you wish to restore
- Tap the "Copy" button located at the bottom of the screen
- Go to the File Commander's main screen
- Tap "Internal storage"
- Select the target folder you wish to restore your files in
- Tap the icon depicting a notepad next to a pen
- Tap "Paste"
Backing Up Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect your Sony Xperia Z3 to your computer via USB
- From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to browse the phone's files and folders
- Access the "Internal storage" directory
- Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up media files on your PC's HDD
- Copy the files, and transfer them on your phone's internal memory
- After the transfer is done, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
- Safely disconnect your Xperia Z3 from the PC
