Verizon employee hacks my phone SCARY

After ending a chat session with a Verizon tech, I immediately received a text message that my phone had been de-registered from My Verizon. I then got a text message that my Canada and Mexico minutes would expire on Nov 4. I have no such minutes. Another message followed in Spanish. I checked voice mail and it was all in Spanish. I made a call and the remaining balance message was active (unlimited minutes-message not needed). I initiated another chat and this tech said he could see in my record that the other tech had changed my phone to Spanish. He corrected this and the notification issue.

An hour or two later, my wife tried to call me and got a message "number not available from this calling area." A friend from another area code had the same issue trying to call me.

I called Verizon and the tech determined that my phone had been deactivated, thus I could not receive ANY calls, although I could call out. He reactivated the phone and it seems to be okay now.

Advice - save EVERY chat session you have by copying and pasting to a text file. Record voice calls to support.

The tech that did this should immediately fired. I have his name and the chats. And will relay this info as soon as I find out who at Verizon to send it to.

Other techs were puzzled as to why this tech would do what he did but they didn't seem concerned that it was done.
