verizon s4 mini compatible?

I purchased a samsung mini s4 after straight talks compatibility page gave me the congratulations screen that the phone would work. Now that I am trying to complete the transaction it is now telling me it wont work in my area. This is a 4g lte phone and has a sim card in it from the previous owner. Is there anything I can do to use this phone with my straight talk account. I am assuming it is locked to the number that is in the sim card. The meid is 990004420879888 and my zip code is 45387. On their web site you can purchase a s4 full size phone which is also a 4g lte phone.
